Polyester glass fiber anti-cracking cloth (glass fiber polyester anti-cracking cloth G120): also known as high-grade high-quality polyester glass fiber cloth, glass fiber and polyester fiber as the main raw materials, using advanced wet process. The polyester fiberglass cloth will not shrink and deform under the high temperature of asphalt concrete, which can avoid the shortage of other materials. In this way, a continuous, complete, non-deformable and reliable waterproof layer can be formed under the hot-mix asphalt mixture pavement, effectively preventing the water powder from infiltrating into the pavement and the base layer from being damaged by the water infiltration.

Polyester fiberglass cloth has low elongation and high tensile strength, especially with asphalt bonding layer formed a solid reinforced composite material, which can effectively eliminate the stress concentration at the joint or crack of pavement, reduce the spread of cracks in the pavement layer, thus prolong the service life of the road and greatly reduce the maintenance cost of the road.

The main raw materials of polyester fiberglass cloth are chopped fiberglass and polyester fibers. The structure is isotropic. Different from the common textile structure, it can be easily crushed, thus realizing the recycling of pavement materials. Therefore, the material is environmentally friendly.

Instructions for the use of polyester fiberglass cloth (construction method guidance):
According to the following method of construction, paving polyester fiberglass cloth is very convenient.
Clean the pavement to be paved with polyester fiberglass cloth: remove dirt, gravel and dust to ensure the binding effect of asphalt.
When there are large cracks (more than 6mm), pits or damages in the base pavement, they should be repaired and filled.
_The bonding oil layer used must be hot asphalt, not emulsified asphalt, otherwise the bonding effect of polyester fiberglass cloth will be reduced.
_The optimum temperature of bonded asphalt is 163-204 C.
After spreading bonded asphalt, the polyester fiberglass cloth must be paved before the asphalt loses its fluidity. Otherwise, it is difficult for the cloth to soak the asphalt and reduce the waterproof performance of the polyester fiberglass cloth.
_Paving polyester fiberglass cloth construction environment temperature must be above 4 C.
In order to achieve the best results, the following aspects should be paid attention to when paving polyester fiberglass cloth:
_Polyester fiberglass cloth must be installed on hot asphalt. We recommend the following asphalt. AC-20; PG64-22; AR8000+; or penetrate asphalt of grade 60-80. For extreme high temperature construction in summer, the asphalt with high viscosity is recommended. The following asphalt is more suitable for summer construction: AC-30; PG67-22; AR8000+; or penetrate asphalt of grade 40-60.
_The optimum asphalt usage ratio is 1.1 liter/square metre, but according to the actual situation of the installation pavement and the expected overlap, the usage ratio will have a range of 1.0-1.3 liter/square metre. We do not recommend heating the asphalt in the transport vehicle to above 204 C, because this operation will hinder the premature maturity of liquid asphalt.
Care must be taken when handling polyester fiberglass cloth. If the coil falls off the transport vehicle, it will damage the polyester fiberglass cloth and cause application problems.
If stripes occur in the installation, any stripes greater than 2.5 cm in the pavement direction must be cut and overlapped, and the overlapping place must be manually impregnated in the asphalt layer. Polyester fiberglass cloth must be rolled or brushed to ensure full contact with the pavement and remove bubbles. The coating width of hot asphalt must be added to the width of polyester fiberglass cloth by 4 inches. Ester fiberglass cloth is not easy to bend or stretch on curved surface. It can be truncated during installation and construction on curved surface. It can be installed mechanically or manually.
_The installation of polyester fiberglass cloth can be carried out by a mechanism with metal rollers driven by tractors or trucks. The function of the metal rollers is to ensure that the polyester fiberglass cloth is spread smoothly on the road surface. A row of brushes must be installed behind the installation rollers to ensure that the polyester fiberglass cloth is compacted in the asphalt coating. The joint of polyester fiberglass cloth must have a 5.1 cm overlay in the length direction. There is a 10.2 cm overlay in the width direction. The top lateral joints must follow the direction of the pavement, and all joints must be lapped together.
Paving machinery or other vehicles in the installation of polyester fiberglass cloth on the top of the steering must be gradually expanded, and must ensure that as little as possible steering, in order to avoid possible damage to the cloth. In paving construction, the equipment tyres must be attached to the cloth surface, and sand should be scattered as little as possible on the cloth surface to avoid adhesion. Do not reduce the amount of asphalt overlay in order to reduce the adhesion of tyres. The best way to do this is to spread it over the overlapping area.
The completed road can be opened to traffic after the contractor or installation engineer confirms it.
